The Community Foundation has two new options for giving back to your local community in a time of crisis

Natural Disaster Assistance Fund

This fund, recently established with lead contributions from the Community Foundation, the Rockford Register Star, WREX TV and an anonymous Community Foundation Trustee, will help provide assistance to individuals and families who suffer hardship and loss due to a natural or manmade disaster. Presently, this fund will grant up to $1000 per family for items lost in the recent August flooding. Contributions can be made to the Natural Disaster Assistance Fund by sending a check to the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and writing natural disaster fund on the memo line. Credit card contributions are also accepted at 815-962-2110.

Natural Disaster Assistance Endowment Fund

This permanent endowment has been established to provide assistance to individuals and families who suffer hardship and loss due to a natural manmade disaster in the future. When future natural or manmade disasters affect the community, the Community Foundation will have perpetual resources available to help support those in need. Contributions can be made to the Natural Disaster Assistance Endowment Fund by sending a check to the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and writing natural disaster endowment on the memo line. Credit card contributions are also accepted at 815-962-2110.

The Foundation accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.
To make a credit card donation, please contact the Finance Department at 815-962-2110 ext. 14, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Central Time).
AUTOMATIC DEDUCTION
By providing a few pieces of information, the Foundation can conveniently deduct $50.00 or more from your bank account on a monthly basis.

RESTRICTED STOCK
CFNIL often receives "restricted stock" from its donors. These are shares that are not immediately saleable and require a careful registration and selling procedure. Most often these shares are controlled by senior officers or directors of a company and are subject to the requirements of "Rule 144."
