Request for Proposals:

Jon W. Lundin Historic Preservation Fund

The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity and is asking organizations from the City of Rockford, Illinois to apply. The purpose of the Request for Proposal is to build awareness of Rockford's history and create community value by promoting historic preservation.


Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, an applicant must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) organization and/or organized group carrying out a charitable purpose for the public good
  • Be located within the City of Rockford
  • Be operated and organized in such a manner that no applicable anti-discrimination laws are violated

We Look For

The following criteria must be addressed in your proposal:

  • Be collaborative in nature
  • Inspire others regarding the value of historic preservation
  • Be a catalyst for historic preservation
  • Leverage other resources

Examples

Workshops, tours, surveys, exhibitions, events, promotional materials and projects that will highlight the value of historic preservation.


Amount of Grant/s

Up to $2,000


Exclusions

Grants will not be made for annual & capital campaigns, operating costs, re-granting of funds, individuals and projects that promote a religion or require participation in a religious activity.


Deadline & Awards

The deadline for applications is July 15, 2008. Award/s will be announced at River District's Heart of Rockford Awards Event, August 6, 2008.
