Election Day is November 3: Make your Voice and your Vote Heard!

Election Day is November 3rd, and there is still time to vote early in person, or to submit your vote-by-mail ballot. 

Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, all voters must vote at the assigned polling place. To find your polling place, visit the website for your election authority:

This close to Election Day there may not be time for your vote-by-mail ballot to arrive in time to be counted ON Election Day. If you would prefer to vote in person, you can! See the section below for options regarding vote-by-mail ballots.

ANSWERS TO YOUR VOTE-BY-MAIL QUESTIONS

Q. I applied for a vote-by-mail ballot. Can I vote in person instead?

A. YES! Bring your vote-by-mail ballot to the early voting location or your polling place on Election Day. Give the vote-by-mail ballot to the election judges. You will be given a new ballot.

Q. I received a vote-by-mail ballot but I lost it. Can I vote in person instead?

A. YES! Go to an early voting location or your polling place on Election Day. Tell the election judges you lost your vote-by-mail ballot. The judges will give you a provisional ballot. As long as your vote-by-mail ballot is not received, the provisional ballot will be counted after Election Day.

Q. I requested a vote-by-mail ballot, but I didn't get it. Can I vote in person instead?

A. YES! Go to an early voting location or your polling place on Election Day. Tell the election judges you did not receive a ballot in the mail. The election judges should ask you to sign an affidavit stating you didn't receive the ballot, and then give you a new ballot.

Q. What if I show up at an early voting location or polling place on Election Day and forget to bring my vote-by-mail ballot?

A. You can still vote! If you do not bring your ballot with you, you will be required to vote a provisional ballot. As long as your vote-by-mail ballot is not received, the provisional ballot will be counted after Election Day.

Q. I received and completed my vote-by-mail ballot. How do I return it?

A. You can:

- Drop it in the mail (NOTE: This close Election Day there is no guarantee it will arrive in time to be counted ON Election Day). 

- Take it in person to your election authority:

- Drop it in a secure, authorized dropbox. (typically located outside your local election authority)

Q. I returned my vote-by-mail ballot and a received a notice from my election authority that there's a problem with my ballot. What should I do?

A. You may need to provide additional information in order for your ballot to be counted. Follow the instructions on the notice, and/or contact your election authority.
