Winter Scholarship - Open Open This scholarship is part of the Winter application cycle. The application is open December 1st to February 1st every year. How to Apply

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must

- Be an undergraduate college or vocational student of at least freshman status. 
- Currently reside in Winnebago County.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for people in their school, community, or county through community service.
- Have completed at least 50 hours of community service while in college.


Academic performance will be given moderate consideration in the selection process.

Scholarship Background and Intent

Margaret wanted to recognize young people who have demonstrated a commitment to serve their community and encourage them to continue that service into adulthood. The intent of this scholarship is to provide an additional resource to students with limited financial aid options and have a strong commitment to service for others.
